Local Groups

Janice is trying to encourage meetings in various parts of the country.  At the moment we only have regular meetings near where Janice lives (every 6 months).

We are trying to encourage regular local meetings perhaps for a couple of hours say once a month, to collect like minded individuals, which eventually could hold a longer afternoon meeting that Janice could attend.

So if you would like to volunteer to start a monthly or even quarterly meeting and would not object to having the nearest major town and county where you live listed along with your email address, please send details to the Webmaster.

As to what you can do at these meetings; perhaps work on a collective project, or on individual pieces; offer help, advice and assistance to those less experienced; or encourage a new comer to have a go at a simple project; discuss the contents of the partworks; bring work for display; studying historic work.  The list is endless.

The meetings are designed to be social, relaxing and light hearted for everyone of all abilities to enjoy.  Beginners will be able to show how they are improving and feel a sense of achievement; the more experienced will see how their work has perhaps become more complex and experimental.  The common interest here is goldwork (plus the tea and biscuits inbetween!)
